Action has slowed down a little this week, perhaps owing to some unsettled stormy weather and a small drop in the water temperature. Despite this, there have been a few rewards on offer for perseverance.
Keith McGreevy got his trip off to a great start when he bagged a hard running 118lber which picked up a legered chicken carcass in a deep margin north of Amposta. There was also a 130lb taken by Zsolt Papp, after a switch in location and tactics fishing well down the river in the Delta section.
