Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. Early October 2017

The fishing in October has been quite difficult this season, with an Indian summer leaving us with a warm, clear river to contend with and the Catfish seemingly not too interested in feeding. However, where there is a will there is a way, and some drift fishing way up stream at Tortosa, beyond our usual haunts, has produced a handful of fish, including a couple of JUMBO sized ones. Khan Ashraf bagged a superb new PB of 178lb, which was followed up by James Pryor later in the week with another lunker of 164. A few other fish in the 70 – 90lb range salvaged a tough trip.
