The excellent winter results have continued over the past few days with Jared Cleary bagging 5 lower Ebro catfish during a 3 day stint.
Jared, who works private security in Iraq, was on a short notice break and the trip got off to a steady start with 2 small cats caught on day one of the holiday.
The action hotted up on the second day with a positive take early in the session and a long, determined fight from a big fish which was boated and weighed in at 127lb – a cracking result. The day continued to produce takes, with a small cat boated before bad luck struck in the final hour with a missed chance followed by a hook pull on a running fish.
The final day of the trip saw a successful conclusion with a 70lber boated and a small kitten lost at the side of the boat. Favourable weather has been helpful, with some of the days recently touching 20 degrees celcius.
