Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. early August 2014

The full summer heat is upon us and as usual the fishing has started to slow down a little. It’s been quality rather than quantity over the past week for Stevie Duffett and Ken Joyce with 4 cats boated, all over 95lb.

Steve got the ball rolling on the first day of the trip with a hard fighting 113 which took a mullet in a deep margin location in Tyland.

Steve had a good work out from this 113 in the searing heat

Ken was next to catch, when a 107lber accepted a small zombie mullet drifted through the willow swim at Campredo. The fish gave a bizarrely weak and lethargic fight perhaps owing to the high water temps.

Push over! This 107lber put up a fairly lame fight.

There was more success for Ken as the week progressed with the double capture of a 96 & 112 in short succession as the week ended on a high note. Both fish took on large mullet fishing in deep water close to the islands at Deltebre.

Ken falls just short of 3 figures with this 96.

Re-Joyce! It's a 112 for Ken, his second ton of the trip..
