Another decent week down on the lower Ebro, with plenty of action on offer. Gary Carter bagged the fish of the week by a distance with a whacker of 172lb which was caught from ‘Kitten Alley’ to the south of Amposta. There was also a notable fish of 117lb for Lucas Carter caught on the final day of the trip, and Gary also snared a 99lb.
Gavin Hoe-Richardson was chuffed with his first ever Catfish at 70lb, although the trip was a case of the ones that got away, with some bad luck costing us more fish which were lost on sunken trees.
The river is still carrying a heavy flow of water although is dropping steadily, and some warmer weather has seen the water temperature rise to around 12 degrees, which is still cold for the time of year.
