An excellent trip this year for the ‘ambulance crew’ of Martin Campbell, Del Elliott & Ray Jennings who have all bagged treble figure Catfish in a 3 day trip. As the season draws to a close there have been a few signs that the fishing is beginning to take a turn for the better, and Martin Filer has enjoyed a good two day visit, bagging this new PB of 143lb on a chicken carcass at Amposta, mid afternoon.

The fishing in October has been quite difficult this season, with an Indian summer leaving us with a warm, clear river to contend with and the Catfish seemingly not too interested in feeding.
