Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest catch reports….Late July 2018

Definitely a case of ‘all’s well that ends well’ for Mike Roberts on his recent two day session on the lower Ebro, when this 150lb Catfish grabbed a bait around 6pm with time running out. A switch to the Ebro Delta did the trick after Amposta had yielded only a couple of small fish on the first day of the trip. A great fight took place in shallow water as… Read More »Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest catch reports….Late July 2018

When the lower Ebro is fishing well it’s quite often the case that a single day session is all that’s needed to catch a dream fish. Gavin Fuller had a successful day session having taken time out of a trip to Barcelona and was rewarded with 3 Cats up to 113lb, while there was a 69lber for Lee Drake and Alex Taylor who also journeyed down from Barca for a… Read More »Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Bottom baits are beginning to work well now that the water temperature is coming up and the Catfish are becoming more active. There’s been a few out over the last couple of days but again the fish have been either smalls or mediums, with some in the 50 – 70lb bracket caught by Kes Vincent while Mark & Simon had to settle for some tiddlers????

After the excellent fishing we were getting around a week ago, the action has slowed down over the past few days. The river is dropping all the time and the water temperature is coming up extremely quickly. Once the Cats adjust to this we should see some superb sport, but for the time being it’s been relatively slow with usually a couple of fish per session, including lots of small… Read More »Lower Ebro Catfishing…. A great final day for father and son Phil and Andy Barlow who finished up with 7 Catfish in 2 day’s fishing after a 5 fish flurry on the Delta section. The final fish of the day proved to be the biggest with Phil bagging a 150lber – but was it his turn on the rods?? Andy chipped in with a nice brace of fish at 112lb and 83lb as… Read More »Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. Mid June 2018

The Argent family of dad Geoff and brothers Daniel & Ben have enjoyed some fantastic action down on the Delta section and bagged 14 fish in a 3 day break. The biggest of the holiday was a 126lber which was caught by Geoff and… Read More »Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest catch Reports…. Mid June 2018

Fishing has shown some signs of improvement over the past few days but we’re still at the mercy of massive changes in the water level and temperature. After bagging a 154 and two kittens on the first day of the trip we then saw the water level rise by over a meter and the temp drop by in excess of 3 degrees???? which killed it for a couple of days. Happily,… Read More »Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. Early June 2018
